Quality Manager

Job description: QUALITY MANAGER

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee our quality assurance and control operations at our sheet metal manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet both internal and external requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations. This position requires a strong background in quality assurance procedures and the ability to lead a team towards achieving the highest standards of quality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of high-quality products.

- Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reporting on performance, measuring against set standards.

- Liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly.

- Identify relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.

- Anticipate and address potential quality issues in the production process.

- Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings and creating audit finding reports.

- Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes, and finished goods.

- Set QA compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved.

- Maintain awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.

- Assess and ensure compliance with product specifications.

- Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Proven experience as a Quality Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in sheet metal manufacturing.

- Strong math and geometry skills needed for interpreting blueprints including but not limited to decimals, fractions, diameter, radius.

- Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Experience with quality inspection, auditing, and testing.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

**Location**: Sheet Metal Manufacturing Facility, 100% on site.

**Schedule**: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with some overtime required

**Salary**: Hourly position $30 - $35 / hour $62,000-72,000 annually before overtime, OT available on average 2.5 hours per week
