Purchasing 

8:00 am – 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday

We are a growing sheet metal fabricator, looking to add a detail oriented Purchasing agent to our team. Innovated has been in business for over 40 years! Our business is expanding, and we are looking for a motivated professional. We purchase sheet metal, bar stock, powder coating media, tooling, hardware and more for sheet metal fabrication. This is a full time, hourly paid position with overtime available.

Duties include:

Ordering raw materials, supplies, small equipment and sub contracting.

Issuing requests for quote

Evaluating suppliers, considering terms, price, quality, past performance and lead time.

Creating and issuing purchase orders.

Expediting purchase orders.

Reviewing customer orders to determine raw material needs. Creating Bills of Material.

Providing materials cost information to Estimator.

Data entry and creating part number records in database.

Maintaining vendor relationships, as well as researching alternate suppliers.

Performing supplies or materials inventory.

Creating reports for production and management using Excel.

Requirements include:

Manufacturing experience

Attention to detail

Analytical skills

Ability to read and understand basic manufacturing drawings for sheet metal.

Great math skills including converting decimals and fractions.

Experience comparing vendor quotes to determine best supplier, using price, lead time and other factors.

Experience tracking vendor contracts and agreements.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with vendors and co workers.

Ability to meet deadlines, and flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook. Ability to design and maintain simple spreadsheets.

Knowledge of standard purchasing and shipping terms.

Excellent attendance, dependability, and maturity.

Must have a strong sense of urgency, and be able to follow multiple tasks through to completion.

Full Time, 1st Shift 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Pay is Hourly, $19 - $25 per hour Depending on Experience.
