Innovated Machine & Tool Co., Inc., a Newport News, Virginia Sheet Metal Manufacturing company, is now hiring for a Production Supervisor.  This position requires Sheet Metal Manufacturing and Job Shop experience in a fast paced environment.   This is a multiple task, deadline based environment, therefore flexibility is necessary to maintain multiple projects, as well as re-evaluate and change priorities quickly and efficiently.   The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing all production personnel, with the goal of efficient, accurate production in a short lead time.  Experience with these operations is helpful:  CNC Turret Punch Press, CNC Laser, CNC Press Brake, Welding, CNC Machining, Powder Coating, Assembly.  

Duties include supervising production by:

• Directing daily production meetings.
• Directing the flow of materials to the proper machine or department, and through to completion.
• Supervising work force of over 25, including Welders, Grinders, Machinists, Machine Operators, Sheet Metal Fabricators, Painters, Assembly personnel, Shipping and Receiving.
• Enforcing quality standards.
• Modeling and Enforcing company standards.
• Participating in production staff hiring process.
• Evaluating and counseling production personnel.
• Reporting personnel issues and counseling to HR.
• Requisitioning needed building and equipment repairs from Purchasing.

Applicant must have excellent communication skills, and a high level of independent judgment.
