Prior experience in CNC machine operation is required.

Duties Include:

• Use CNC or manual machines to punch, shear, or bend flat bar or sheet metal;
• Use CNC machine to insert hardware;
• Set up, clean and maintain tooling;
• Retrieve program using computer;
• Create programs for cutting and punching of bar material;
• Check parts produced for dimensional accuracy;
• Produce the maximum number of parts in minimum time by working efficiently;
• Material handling, using forklift and pallet jack, and by hand, preparing work area for next job;
• Count and stack finished parts;
• Deburr parts;
• Monitor quality during production;
• Maintain equipment & troubleshooting malfunctions;
• Other tasks as required;
• Follow company procedures and safety rules.

Requirements:

To be considered, Applicants for this position must:

• Hvae experience setting up and operating CNC manufacturing equipment;
• Be able to read basic blueprints;
• Be able to use calipers and other precision measuring tools;
• be able to use Microsoft Windows;
• be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers as needed;
• be able to lift up to 100 lbs;
• be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements;
• be able to work in cold or hot temperatures in plant;
• have excellent attendance.
