Production Leader  - Finishing area

Scheduled hours are 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Mon – Fri with additional overtime available. Hourly pay, paid weekly.  Overtime paid on hours worked above 40 hours per week. 

The Finishing Production Leader will direct, supervise, coach and develop the pre and post powder coating process for the finishing department.  The products being powder coated are sheet metal enclosures and panels. 

This leader will oversee employees who are preparing products for powder coating, loading & unloading the automated powder coating line, and assembling products. This is a multiple task, deadline based environment with a requirement for speed and accuracy, therefore flexibility is necessary to maintain multiple projects as well as re-evaluate and change priorities quickly and efficiently.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Maximizing production;

Planning and staging area for production prior to shift beginning;

Quality control oversight;

Training and leading new and existing staff in:

preparation of sheet metal parts for coating;

loading conveyor line effectively and efficiently;

mechanical assembly;

Work closely with company management to troubleshoot processes, and to maximize performance and processes;

Monitoring and requisitioning supplies and materials;

Implementing and/or Maintaining proper procedures, including Safety;

Requirements:

In order to be considered applicants must:

Have strong supervisory and people skills;

Represent our company in a professional and positive manner;

Have excellent attention to detail;

Be able to work daily or weekend overtime when deadlines require.

Possess a strong sense of urgency.

Be able to read shop blueprints;

Be able to keep production records.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs;

Corrected 20/​20 vision;

Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements;

Work in ambient temperatures.
